This delicious, sensory experience is the perfect place to support a variety of early learning and developmental skills while creating happy memories as a family. IDEAS FOR USELooking for the perfect gift from grandma? This cookbook will facilitate an amazing experience cooking together with your grandchild! A unique present from aunt? This cookbook is a gift your niece or nephew could use for years while enjoying quality family time together instead of adding more plastic toys! This cookbook is the perfect gift for the minimalist family, those focused on a Montessori approach, the family who already has plenty of traditional toys and would enjoy a gift that promotes a learning experience instead, the busy family that wants to be purposeful with the time they have together, and those with children who simply love to cook! The brain-building tips are designed with ages 2, 3, 4, and 5 in mind, however, the recipes are fantastic for pre-readers and early readers of all ages, making these ideal for use in special education as well. Consider supporting other small businesses and bundling with a personalized apron, chef’s hat, child-safe knife, rolling pin, or other kitchen tools to spark that love of cooking and learning for that special child in your life today. ASSEMBLY RECOMMENDATIONSPrint in color, double-sided, on 8.5×11 paper. (Regular white paper is fine, but cardstock may help create a stronger product if planning to use over many years.) You might choose to laminate the recipe pages (as we know the kitchen can get quite messy!) or reprint each time you want to use the recipe. For assembly as a cookbook: Printing on white cardstock will create a strong book that can withstand use by children over many years (though regular paper will work fine as well). I recommend laminating all pages and then using a three-hole punch to put into ½” binder. If you do not have a laminator, these can be purchased at stores like Walmart or Target or laminating can be done at places such as The UPS Store and Office Depot. For Tabs: Print on Avery 14436 TabsABOUT THE AUTHORI am a mom of preschool-aged boy/girl twins and have been an award-winning educator for over a decade, teaching all subjects in preschool through 7th grade. I earned a B.A. in Psychology, with an emphasis in child psychology, and M.Ed. in Teaching. I am passionate about the power of family/school partnerships!I love being a mom, but it is also challenging! Just as all parents do, I want to support my children the best I possibly can. This can get tricky when they have such different personalities and interests (and are at different stages developmentally)! Fortunately, we can always agree on our love of cooking tasty treats together in the kitchen. And so, I wanted to make sure this close family time was not only making memories, but was purposeful. And so began The Early Ed Kitchen. Thank you for your support!
